|deccaboo||07:46 pm - Glot: Deccaboo's Gorgo|
I've ordered a Glot with eyes, wig and costume, no blushing or face-up :)
Appearance: I want to try and recreate the LittleFee Ante look (or at least find someone else who will be able to!) I really like Ante's peachy cheeks and deep coloured lips and I want my Glot to look very girly and young. She'll be keeping the default wig, but I'll be swapping out her blue eyes (as pretty as they are, they're not for Gorgo) and she'll be wearing yellow/gold eyes.
I'll be using references of real hooved/horned animals for Gorgo's hooves and horns, I want them to have a weathered look, so they'll probably be a yellow ochre-wash over the resin with accents of darker ochre to mark the grooves in the horns and weathering in her hooves. The feathering of hair on her legs will be brown to match her wig.
She'll be keeping her default outfit, but once she's home I'll be making her a seperate outfit from chamois leather and perhaps some furry pants for that 'real' satyress look! Not sure I'll be keeping the resin wings at this point...
Type: Soom Glot.
Name: Gorgonelat, Lady Tartarus, but Gorgo for short
Wig: SOOM Default
Eyes: Dollmore Special Acrylic
Other bits: Gorgonelat is a yellow-eyed demon* who prefers the form of a satyr-child and she is the baby sister of my other yellow-eyed demon, Zeelzaroth. They are as thick as thieves and often to be found wreaking mischief wherever they go. Zeelzaroth is very protective of Gorgonelat and she adores her big brother too. Gorgo is not entirely evil or entirely good, she can be sweet and kind one minute and cruel and merciless the next. Don't underestimate her...even if she does look like butter wouldn't melt in her mouth!
*Yes, like the YED from Supernatural ^_^
28/2/2009 - 1st payment of $118.75...only $356.65 to go...
Current Mood: excited
sounds interesting! I didn't order they eyes as I didn't like the blue for her- I like the sound of yours!

Thank you :) I do like the blue colour, but I'm not usually a fan of pupilless eyes. I just thought that if I got as much of the full set as I could afford I might be able to sell the eyes and resin wings to be able to afford her ransom...erm, I mean...customs fees!
The eyes in my avatar are the ones I'll eventually get for Gorgo, they're Dollmore acrylics, but her brother Zee wears them and they glow in photographs! Creepy and awesome at the same time!
when our soom dolls arrived they have been marked down and we just got the standard handling fee of about £28 :) nothing seems to be escaping these days!
Those eyes look great..i might check out dollmore again!

Volks is crippling me. They make amazing clothes, shoes, you name it...but I am not loving the fees that come with that! Alistair Darling must think that people in this hobby have money to burn, lol! Hopefully SOOM won't destroy what little funds I have left!
They are awesome eyes, I probably will go down the glass route one day (but I don't want to pay a lot extra for custom eyes) or I'll take a tip from Madam MauMau and use gemstone cabochons for eyes like some yellow calcite or something... not sure!
what a great idea for eyes- I wonder how she finds them round and smooth enough?
Gems make amazing eyes. I used some agate beads for another doll's eyes before, but they were pre-shaped and polished so I could find exact matches. I don't know how to go about finding other stones, especially matched pairs!
(Also waves the St David's Day banner! Hooray for Wales)
well happy st david's day to you! I might make a leek and potato soup in hounour of the day:)
She sounds like she'll be a force to be reckoned with. :) I love your idea for the legs, they sound like they'll be wonderful when they're done. Arg, it makes me want them to come even sooner so that I can see what amazing things people do with them!
